This replacement water temperature gauge is an electric unit, just like the origianl. Temperature gauge selection is based on which thermostat you are using, 160 degree or 180 degree, for accuracy. Danchuk # 10240 is for 160 degree thermostats and will work on any 1957 classic Chevy. Made in the USA using AutoMeter movements.
