This is the rod that goes from the lock mechanism up through the door inner moulding to unlock and lock the doors. Your door lock knob attaches to the threaded area at the top. If yours have gone missing replace them with this quality reproduction. Danchuk 17954 will work on the front doors of any 1956-1957 classic Chevy 4-door hardtop. Sold as a pair.
