This often-overlooked item should be replaced regularly. Unless you use our stainless steel gas tank, moisture in the gas will eventually produce rust in the tank which could clog this filter. Clogged filters result in poor performance. Danchuk # 12696 will work on any 1955-1957 classic Chevy with a 5/16" fuel tank sending unit. Slides over the end of the pick-up tube in the tank.
