Race-proven and time-tested, this conversion kit is the best way to add modern motor mount strength to 1958 and later small or big block engines. Brackets are bolted to the frame and side motor mounts part # 976 are bolted to the block. These mounts will mount the engine in the stock position. Danchuk # 871 will work on any 1955-1957 classic Chevy with a SEAMED frame. The kit comes with hardware to bolt the mounts to the frame but the bolt for the motor mount is not supplied.
Note: Chevrolet used two different frames in 1955-1957, seamed and seamless (California frame). Please verify you have a seamed frame before ordering. Use 17756 for seamless frame applications.
