Replace those worn, loose hinges with new ones. These reproduction hinges are designed to have the look, function and fit of the originals. Danchuk # 1216 will work on any 1955-1956 classic Chevy. Sold as a pair.
Note: We recommend you lubricate these just after installing them but remember; one of the things that keeps your hood up is the friction between the metal at the rivets on the hinges. After lubricating with a product like WD-40 move the hood up and down and then shoot a little brake cleaner at the pivot points to flush the lube from the friction points. We also recommend replacing the hood springs.
