The primary job of the a-arm dust sheilds is to keep dirt out of the engine compartment, but engine heat and the elements are their chief enemy so don't forget to replace these when you are restoring your engine compartment. These are made exactly like Chevy's first design. Chevrolet installed these with staples in 1955 but added a metal retainer in 1956. Danchuk # 546 will work on any 1955-1956 classic Chevy.
